I have a few questions about the hw.
For problem 1, I am assuming we should use the equation P = f*C*Vdd*Vdd, and I am assuming that we must determine which capacitances are operating at which frequencies. One of the inputs to the ‘and’ gate in the first circuit clocks at 100ps while the other clocks at 200ps. Should we assume that the capacitor attached to the ‘and’ gate clocks at the faster of the two frequencies or should we calculate the frequency at which the output is actually changing?
In problem 4a, when it says create a ROBDD using the variable ordering {c, b, a}, does it mean that a should be on top, then b, and then c? In problem 4b, when it says create a ROBDD for d < c < b < a does this also mean a on top, then b, then c, and then d?
I am really confused about problem 5, and I can’t even really figure out how to approach it. Is there some sort of example that might clarify how to approach it? Berkin will you be able to help with this problem in office hours tomorrow?
