Wild Dreams
They always seem
So real and so close
Sweat, blood teem
In the pursuit and chase
Sleep, time and energy are lost
Chasing after shadows like a child
All but at too great a cost
They vanish into the wild
Thence you stand marooned
In the middle of nowhere
Harvesting regrets and misery
Yearning at least for a thoroughfare
Away from the wild dreams mystery.
