WILD BLOOMS SPEAK
Will flowers ever bloom again
Mother Earth is asking now,
Amid salty seas and fiery breeze,
And man’s destruction, desecration, and greed?
Flowers sometimes Speak
With words, they whisper near.
They nod and wave, in breeze and crave
Wistful looks from passers-by.
Wild Lupines Speak,
Their spring words bursting forth.
With warming rays, amidst leafy glades,
They wiggle their tails to greet their days.
Garish Coneflowers Speak,
Their pink and orange portray,
Confident feeling, that their healing
Power is on display.
Multiflorous Flowers Speak,
An Ode to Purity from
Creamy Hydrangea, circular Allium,
Minute multitudes of dignity and perfection.
Will flowers ever bloom again
Mother Earth is asking now,
Amid salty seas and fiery breeze,
And man’s destruction, desecration, and greed? *
