Hello everyone,

I hope this email finds you in good health. It's been a while since I submitted a poem. :-)

Here is my poem "Love is Easy, Hatred is Complicated", I hope you all like it.

Regards,

Asavri

Love is Easy, Hatred is Complicated

Ask me to paint your planet on a canvas

I’ll paint it in a way, that you all will laugh

Will paint the oceans and the seas with my tears

The land with blood, no countries.

Ask me to draw the people

I’ll make human figures,

And draw veins, organs and bones.

Ask me to define the strongest emotions,

Will put them in words and lay them on the ocean bed

You won’t have to dig but dive to reach them. Digging is no fun.

If you reach the ocean bed and find no words.

That feeling is regret and hopelessness.

Look for an oyster, open it.

That feeling is, when you step in love.

Swim back to the shore with the oyster

And when you open it again to admire the pearl

It’s not there. That feeling is pain and anger – a hybrid.

When you stand back up, its courage.

You turn around and see mountains, an aim.

You start climbing the mountain,

A broken heart starts ripping itself apart and grows stronger.

Someone accompanies you and abandons you.

That pain in the heart and madness in the brain, is hatred.

This either creates a stronger bridge to conquer the aim, Or

A huge fall; either life or death.

You reach the mountain and see the masterpiece

Stunned, aren’t you? Feeling fed with kindness and grace?

You fall back to the ground, you’re a living dead.

And then you’ll realize the aim was hatred, itself.

The madness is that the hatred and love overlap each other.
