As I've mentioned to several of you, due to current and upcoming commitments, I don't plan on being the Chair of this committee going forward into 2017 (not enough energy to spread around) however  I still plan on being part of the committee. 

And as it seems that no one really wants to step up into the position of Chair, I'm suggesting we think outside the box and as a group lead this committee. We can share ideas of events we would like to bring to fruition via email and if the majority is in favor then we set a date to meet and organize logistics, that way the brunt of the planning doesn't fall on 1 or 2 people specifically until the day of the event. We can rotate taking notes at the meetings and getting the recap out to the whole committee in case someone could not attend. And since many of us attend the Board meetings, whoever is at the meeting can give an update. 

My concern is that this committee will disappear and that would be unfortunate, but I will respect whatever direction the majority would like to take moving forward.

Thoughts?

Hello everyone- 

I am out of town all of those dates. I would love to be able to participate and I do like the idea of a unit-to-unit garage sale. I would suggest giving people time to collect their items to sell, so maybe give people 3-4 weeks if they want to participate. Sign up on doorwaze? Definitely needs to be posted 3-4 weeks in advance and then post on doorwaze which units are participating? 

Just my thoughts for right now :)

So it looks like the 18th works the best.  Go ahead and pen me in for the 18th, unit 3208.  I'll have wine - Doris and Guy what is the one you serve that is so reasonable.  It was so good. 

I'm not a cook like Vanessa the rest of you so expect some cheese and fruit.  Mom may come to my rescue but we'll see.  :)
