ACTION NEEDED: Tailgate/Yard Sale Logistics Meeting

Hi everyone,

Please respond with your thoughts.

Just heard from Chris the McHugh had agreed to let us use their lot. I'm flying back home today from NY, so can work on a announcement to be posted/emailed, however posting and email probably won't happen until Friday as I do need to have you guys proof/advise on the comns before sending it out to the building.

My thoughts are 1) Take our chances and announce both events for this Sunday 2) Tailgate only 3) Forgo the event this time around and do separate events in 2017.

Please skate other options I haven't mentioned/thought of here.

P.S. please also let me know if you plan to come to brunch Saturday so I can ensure there's enough food/drink.

I will be at brunch on Saturday.  Maybe we should just do the tailgate?  It seems to be a popular event and people do not need much notice for that.  With the yard sale, maybe more time.  Just my thoughts.

Hi Vanessa,

I think that it is too late to have the yard sale.  Most people would probably need more time to get together items for the sale.  I'm not sure about the tailgate party.  Do you think there would be a good response with the short notice?  It has been well attended in the past, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem.

We will probably have to pass on the brunch.  We have been away for three weekends, and we need to get to the cottage to take out the dock.  Very disappointed, but if plans change and we can come I'll let you know.  

Let us know what is decided, and what we can help with on Sunday, if needed.

Hi everyone,

After receiving feedback via email/text/phone, the consensus is that we'll forego this weekend's tailgate/yard sale event and talk to McHugh about doing an annual tailgate party in their lot, hopefully having pre-approval which will help with planning. There just won't be enough time to get comms together and out, plus there's rain in the forecast on Sunday.

Also we'll ask about doing the yard sale in May or June 2017.

For everyone who can make it to Saturday brunch, can't wait to see you.
Guy/Doris have a wonderful time at the wedding,  Joanne/Charlie good luck getting everything taken care of at the cottage (if things chance, please just pop by).
