 Humanity lost

They smashed and crushed our future
Smoked and burned our hopes to air
Dreams been stripped from hearts
Dark shadows encroached and raped us
Poked and pierced to pool in the blood
What is gained by killing lives
No peace at heart, no tunes to sing
Hungry we are, no food to eat
Running here and there for peace
Begging for love and unity
Wounded we are, no humanity
How to heal and wipe these bleeds
Hear our cry and allow us to live.
