my best wishes for the project :)
Cleansing
I was born only to learn I don’t belong
to this nor that part of the world.
I lost my home and my homies first
then my childhood and chastity to their lust.
In this long walk in search of a land, I can call mine,
I lost my starved toddler to an undeclared famine,
buried an ill-fated stillborn somewhere along the fertile ravine.
Here I am,
soaked waist-deep in muddy creek, no boat of humanity in view
head drenched in torrential rain, flooding the news.
Every bit of earth runs through my premature creases
and you say it doesn't belong to me, rationality ceases.
massacre, demolition, tyranny, gluttony, apathy, intolerance
such dirty acts throughout the history and the intellectual race
calls it cleansing.
