A very good poem, dear Bharati! Really.
My pleasure to add it to the compilation

Love, Sweet and Bitter

So gone are the days
When we parted half ways
The dreams we dreamt
Never materialized
Not willed, yet
You were forced to move away
Leaving not a word for me
Our cherished wishes died
Buried now in heart’s grave
I became a prisoner
To my bangles and Sindoor
Love or to dream of love
Is now a taboo for me
I banish
All your tokens of love
Tear the letters
That were so dear to me
I blow them into the wind
You recede to the innermost corner
Of my memory
Your name is never uttered
But it is never finished.
On a torn piece of paper
Where you once
Scribbled some lines absentmindedly
I keep it to remind me
About  the abstractness
Of my life’s journey.

Author's note:
'Sindoor' is a red vermillion mark Hindu married wear on their forehead as a symbol of their married status and chastity.
