Dear Doctor Fab & the Team,

I am submitting my unpublished poem THE MEMORIES NOT FORGOTTEN for the
project under "Bitter Love". This poem, as stated is an unpublished
and has been written for this venture only:

The Memories Not Forgotten

Far away in the land of memories,
Her mind opens up once more,
To what was and what would have been.
All she found is only the pains not long forgotten.
The sweet sound of their laughter,
That still echoes in the air;
The times they had together,
The happiest that stayed forever.
The days with the man she shared her best.
Sad that they don’t go away,
Sweet as they may be to hear him say he loves her,
The most painful it was that her heart has heard.
Uttered by the man whom she would never have,
Said with a heart that was the heaviest they can feel.
So much of things happened in just one year,
So much were missed in the days they chose to stay apart.
Just because of one misunderstanding,
He left and made his bed with the girl he did not love!
Would it have been alright to accept the love that was offered?
Would it have been alright, would it have been alright,
For their child to grow up without a father!
But it was not its fault to suffer,
For the mistake others have committed;
It was not its fault to come into the world,
Unwanted and as a surprise as it did.
Nine years gone and it’s still there in his eyes,
The pain, the love and the regret.
But it was meant to be and to stay that way,
The bitter love when they cannot have what is there.
