Midnight Nostalgia

If I could be like a feather, carried by  the wind
I'd show things you've never been able to see
I'd speak to you words of sweetness, until you have no more fears;
A rain that's falling like the mercy in your tears.
Now the angels are squeaking in the mirror
And I've left a fragment of my heart, I guess
In the palm of your hand.

But spider webs and needles
You used to be so scared of
Attract me now like a fiddle
Played in the middle of a war.
And I could fight, for ages and ages
Not to look back to the stages
Of this growing future heartbreak
And this dream ready to fade.
The moon is full tonight
And I dance under the sky
A waltz, we never got to dance
A song we never sang.
My veins are dripping but I don't care
The burn keeps me awake.
Not to fall asleep in this reality again
Is my only aim
No matter how many lives I waste
As they all say
This illusion is worth dwelling
Hand after hand until I turn insane.

Remember when desert was gold?
When we said we'd never grow old
"As long as we're together, for sure"
I said while laughing from the pores
Well i'm never getting old now I know
Cuz you're still present on my shoulders
At every grain of the hourglass falling
At every slamming of door.
