Last Night
Waiting may not fit it
Crying may not be worth it
Meditating may not concur with it
Sitting may not prove its worth
Nor mere talking about it
Yet last night’s occurrence is detested
The harm, destruction and disheartening
The obscene and derogative wordings
Those painful “hearty love” phrases
The hurting statements
And those teary admonitions
Yet last night’s occurrence is appealed
Take it, waste it
Brave it, poison it
Grave it, grill it
It is a loss of time and love
And the final heartbreak
Yet ‘twas last night occurrence
