Hi Doctor,
Here is my poem for the Broken Hearts. Hope this would be at the final page
An unpublished poem from Khirod Dalpati

Fragments of Love

Into thousand pieces
Had my heart been broken
The day you left me
Lonely and desolate;
I gathered them up
With courage within taken
Trying to join again
To its original state.

Its radiant grew
As the sparkling diamond
With millions of rays
of love shone around;
Of which I had thought
It was just a gold
The precious stone
That I had found.

Then did I realise
Our love and wishes
Are not just for one
To care and share;
When joined together
The broken pieces
Emits millions of rays -
The fragments of Love.

Khirod Dalpati, India

— I was born in 1974, in a village in the Eastern Ghats, a region of beautiful hills and valleys. I studied at the Seventh-Day Adventist Institution, living at their hostel during all my studies and spending my holidays in the countryside, helping my father in the fields, grazing cattle and guarding the cashew nut forest. That was an adventurous life, since I had to confront also wild animals, feeding at times on berries and drinking the water from a stream. In my high school days I loved reading poetry, especially poems by my favorite poets —such as William Wordsworth, Robert Frost, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Lord Byron and others (my favorite poem being "Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening")— In my college days I also received a first prize in poetry competition: that opened a door to the poetical world and I ventured into... After graduation I moved to the state of Sikkim, in the higher Himalayas, where I started my career as a teacher. There I captured the beautiful mountains, hills, vales, as well as their people, and have preserved them in my heart. I’m currently living in Surat, Gujarat, where I work as a teacher, Chaplain and Placement Officer in Metas Adventist College.
