Hello everyone,

The keyed alarm for a basement door exiting into the St. Paul street courtyard (this door abuts the gas meters; the alarm itself is attached inside on the upper right side of the door) is sounding.

I tried without success to silence this door alarm using each of the keys I found in the vendors’ lockbox located just outside the pedestrian entrance abutting the garage door.   The basement door alarm that is sounding looks like the alarm (now always silenced) on the 5th floor door leading to the roof.   Jamie, do you have a key for that alarm?   Otherwise, Shannon can you take steps to silence this basement door alarm?   The door seems secure/shut—I’ve no idea why the alarm is sounding..

Thanks, Michael

Hi Michael if it's the type of alarm that is on the 5th floor rooftop door I believe I put that key in the lock box that we keep the unit owner keys in.  I took it out of the vendor lock box so that the roof door alarm would not be turned on and off when vendors come.  I will reach out to CPC right now for their assistance.

Hi Shannon,

Frank from CPC was great.   We think the door alarm had burned itself out (silenced) by the time he arrived.   He checked out the alarm using the key from the owners’ lock box.  It’s not functional.   The door itself is locked/secure.

Let’s discuss next steps when you are here on Thursday.  Perhaps all of our door alarms need to be checked out—they are getting old.  I’m available at noon Thursday Sept. 25.  How about you?  Michael

Glad this is taken care of. It’s part of the bigger project that Matt and Ken are supposed to be working on. Let’s put it on the agenda for our Tuesday morning meeting.
