Dear Trustees,
Just got off the phone with Lauren Lima after speaking with Lauren Knollmeyer yesterday. Here's what happened:.
Knollmeyer call: I agreed to pay the $7k.
Lima call: This one was something else.
- LL started with the usual BS about how I "understand the bills for this project" better than everyone else so she didn't want to bother Jamie. I don't understand them any better than anyone else—this is nonsense.
- No TDG person is coming Monday for the first inspection. Shannon will be there, but Knollmeyer and Criterium are doing the inspection. She knew I was less than happy but gave me a wall of words which she is really good at.
- Ken Reily has been muzzled—LL said he's not allowed to talk about the roof project anymore because he was "too over the top” negative about the project he didn’t get.
- The roof issues? Just a "normal reaction" to a cold winter roof going through a hot summer. Maybe?
- Then LL dropped this gem: They had a meeting about us and they're afraid we're going to fire them. Yes, she actually said that out loud.
- I told her the problem is simple: no one knows the building, no one tells us what it needs, no one manages regular maintenance. Case in point—their solution for the back roof is to have CPC clean the roofs monthly. I laughed and said we've been asking them to do that for 18 years. Why would they start now?
- Her answer? "Let's use Town Square as a tickler system." I asked why they don't already have a live document tracking this. No answer.
The conversation was pleasant enough. I was very nice. But let's be real about what's happening here.
Who wants to call Maria Nemorov to start a management search?
