Terrorism: Serenity Shattered pt. 3

One of the saddest moments of my life,
Was watching New York City ripe with strife.

The Towers fell, and with it, my  heart.
What an awful day, my sophomore year, to start.

The Towers fell, and with it, my tears:
They fall, nonstop, after 17 years.

But strength is found in the darkest moments,
Like harmony is achieved through total acceptance.

So many lives have been without reason,
To kill in vain is Spiritual Treason.

"Serenity Shattered"- a noble and clever three-part rhyming poem by Brett F. White encompasses terrorism from the devastation of the twin towers in New York City to the personal agony and destruction of so many innocent lives. Parts 1 & 3 are composed of couplets while part 2 is written in triplet rhyme. Quite an undertaking! Thank You, Brett!
