We seek solace in untruths;
Like children frowning in smiling booths,
Like thinking violence our soul soothes.

And brought, the world is, to its knees,
By senseless atrocities extremism conceives,
With a veneer of faith none believes.

For as violence is not of God's Will,
For it is He whom said, "Thou shalt not kill."
Others' lives are not man's to steal.

But heal we shall, all through prayer,
Silent symphonies affianced in the air,
And with God, our Souls shall never despair.
