Bombs Of Delusion

It is not how much faith you can place in your bombs
But what strength we can hold in our hearts,
We are worthy of caring, to give and receive
We'll deny all your hatred and worthless remarks.
The religion you speak of is not one at all,
Yet you batter our hearts through insanity,
But we're strong and steadfast in what we believe,
Your evil's no contest for our humble humanity.
You will never succeed to brainwash the wise,
The ones that hold genuine love in their hearts,
What we have is real and that's why you can't win,
You're nothing but losers, you suicidal upstarts.

Hi Fabrizio

Thank you once again for giving me the wonderful opportunity to be part of another book by Poets Unite Worldwide.  The topic of terrorists, I think must be close to so many of us now as so many of us have been either directly or inderectly effected by it.

I wrote this attached poem just after the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

I was on the bus to work the very next day and there was another lady on the bus talking on the phone to someone in her family.  She was trying to calm the other person down because her niece had been at the concert and they hadn't heard anything from her and the girl wasn't answering her phone.  It was heart wretching to hear the fear in her voice and my feelings of uselessness were so frustrating.  There is no comfort that can be given here.

2 Years ago, in June 2015 my son went to Tunisia on holiday with his Fiance'.  Two very short weeks later at the very same hotel and beach that they had sunbathed on, it was attacked by a terrorist. I cannot express enough my relief that he wasn't there on that fateful day and that he is still with us today, it could very well have turned out so differently for them.  Needless to say my heart would never have healed from this loss.

These evil people who kill in the name of religion live in our neighbourhoods and kill innocent people and have to be stopped.
