Terror

The little boy was playing happily.
He heard "terror" from the radio for the first time.
The word was strange to him
And that inauspicious evening
The word combined with his whole childhood.
A bullet ripped through his mother's heart
And the bitter meaning of "terror"
Stole the sweetness from his life.

A brief but sad story by Afrooz Jafari Noor, tells of the innocence and sudden transformation of a small boy into the brutal world of terror when his mother becomes the victim of a tragedy brought about by terrorism. "And the bitter meaning of terror stole the sweetness from his life." Very sad. Thank You, Afrooz, for your very sorrowful poem!
