Hello,
My unit has started acting strangely, it will warm up and display temperature but the lambda always hovers around 1.06, both in open air and in a car running pig rich. I thought it was my sensor so I replaced it but that did not fix the issue. Any ideas?

I bought an SLC Free 2 about 12 months ago but have only just attached it to a sensor. On the bench it will warm up the sensor and the display reads steady 1.36. Without the sensor attached it reads steady 1.06, sometimes 1.05. On the car the display is steady while the sensor is warming up. After that both lambda and temperature flicker all over the place at fairly high speed. Mostly lambda reads 1.36, sometimes 1.06 and sometimes what is probably the correct value of 0.96. Temperature display flickers too between 740  and 800 degrees, nothing consistent. I have tried external clean 12V power source but that makes no difference. If I stop the engine when hot, but keep power on the SLC, the display stops flickering and reads 1.02. Any suggestions please.

I have replaced the sensor with a genuine Bosch LSU4.9 part. The display is now steady but cycles from min. temperature to maximum temperature and lambda cycles from 0.68 to 1.36. Usually takes 15 seconds to cycle from min. to max. Does this mean that the SLC Free 2 is unable to maintain a steady temperature?? Please help.
