Hope you have had a good rest over the holidays! Will need your help to publicize two flag days to your classmates:

 

1.       Singapore Disability Sports Council Flag Day 2014

 

SDSC is a Voluntary Welfare Organization that is supported by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC).  SDSC is the only organization in Singapore, which reaches across all disability groups offering a wide range of sports at both elite and developmental levels. To further advance the cause of disabled sports, SDSC will be organizing their annual Flag Day 2014 on 22 February 2014 (Saturday).

2.       MCYC & Yong-En Joint Flag Day 2014

MCYC Community Services Society & Yong-En Care Centre will be organising a joint flag day on 26 April 2014 (Saturday). They would like to invite students to volunteer with them to collect donations from the general public on that day. Their target is to deploy about 1,200 volunteers on the streets to help collect at least $60,000 for this fund raising effort.

As the signups will not be handled directly by me, please note the following:

Although MCYC and Yong En have promised bonus CIP hours on their sign up links, both the bonus CIP of 1.5X  issued to volunteers who sign up for ANY 2 Shifts OR Shift 3 OR Shift 4 and the 5 CIP hours for every 10 volunteers recruited by Volunteer Student Leaders WILL NOT be recognized by the school. This is because the school will only endorse CIP hours for actual service. We seek your understanding in this.
