As promised in my previous email, here is a publicity email for Standard Chartered Marathon 2013, which I will need you to forward to your classmates again, thanks in advance! You might want to consider this as a class CIP project J

 

Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) will be held on 1st December 2013.

 

To ensure the smooth running of the marathon (pun intended) with an anticipated number of 62, 000 runners this year, SCMS would require about 7, 000 volunteers to help out in various areas.

 

Our school will be recruiting volunteers to aid in this massive event, particularly in the following areas of:
1. Route Marshal
2. Admin Team
3. Aid Station

 

You may refer to http://www.marathonsingapore.com/volunteer/#content for more roles and their details. Do note that not all of the volunteers will attend on 1 Dec, some may be required a few days before.

You are highly encouraged to sign up for volunteering events that take place on 1 Dec itself, particularly the above 3 areas. If you happen to choose the days on 28 – 30 Nov (Racepack collection), please inform me after you have signed up through email.

 

Reporting venues: F1 Pit or Esplanade Park.
Duration: About 10-12 hours. Note that each role has a different reporting time. The confirmed timing will be informed to you during the briefing sessions some time in November.

Dear CCE Reps,

 

Hope you have had a good rest from Promos! I would require your help to inform your classmates of the following flag day:

 

Ren Ci Flag Day 2013

 

Ren Ci Hospital will be conducting a flag day on 9 November 2013 (Saturday). They seek to raise funds for the well-being of their needy patients, many of whom suffer from severe physical disabilities and chronic illnesses.

 

The sum raised will help alleviate the high medical and nursing expenses of their patients from Ren Ci Community Hospital, Ren Ci Long-Term Care (chronic sick) and Ren Ci Nursing Home.

 

Reporting Venue: To be confirmed, but it would either be at an MRT of central location or at Ren Ci Hospital itself.

Timeslot: There are two time slots to choose from (morning and afternoon), exact duration to be confirmed, and CIP hours will be credited to participating students.
