Hi All--
Hope you enjoyed the performance. I guess it connects to our work--in broad terms--as some of you indicated beforehand in that listening to music is a text for response and analysis. Consider this for your Song Compilation assignment.
I uploaded Power Point slides from tonight on the four levels of multicultural curriculum. I also uploaded the Moje Reflection point, especially for those of you (elementary) who are reading "Cultural Conflict and Struggle" instead. Please note that this assignment (which we will discuss in class next week) requires you to set up a brief session with a student outside of school. This could happen whenever you have time--including during a lunch or prep. The idea is to observe a student outside of the formal context of school. I realize time is limited. Please work within the confines of your busy schedules to make this work.
Also, please note that the syllabus remains the same in terms of sequencing. The only change is dates, e.g., Week 4 is March 3, which is when Week 4 readings and assignments are due. Note that due to the snow day, we will hold class on Wednesday, May 5, as indicated out loud during last week's class.
Thank you.
Jessica
