What a Success!

Despite the rain we had a great turn out at the Mixer this past
Friday!

I would like to thank the Mayor of Southfield Brenda Lawrence for
gracing us with her presence and words, as well as the MBA Association
for being a part of the event.

Many notable politicans and young professionals came together to
network making this event a success! We have already been asked by
several when the next event will take place!

Special thanks to Gary Williams of Peerless Ent., Beans and Cornbread
and our Treasurer Martin Tutwiler for all of their assistance in
making this event a success.

With the help of our outstanding Host Committee we raised funds to
help with our work in organizing young leaders and supporting
leadership efforts in the 12th Congressional District. I know there
were several young adults present looking to join campaigns that
evening. I encourage you to research the candidates and please
support their campaigns!!!

I look forward to seeing you at the Southfield Library this Wednesday
at 6:30 p.m. as we make plans to continue organizing our district and
filling leadership positions.
