Our Google Group - and some clarification about purpose and use

I've seen a couple of messages posted here questioning why there isn't
more info posted that's directly relevant to the block itself. I've
also had a couple of conversations with local people about this as
well.

This is a GROUP designed for DISCUSSIONS. Anyone that's a member can
post information including discussion topics, files, and pages. Yes,
there's a moderator, but good discussion groups don't rely on just one
person to post all of the information - the really good, active
discussion groups are the ones where lively discussions take place on
a daily basis, involving and including multiple members. That's the
whole point, really, of having something like this set up.

So instead of complaining about the lack of relevant material posted,
I'd appreciate it a great deal if all of you help make this what YOU
want it to be. I set it up; it's open to anyone who wants to join; I
only lightly moderate it (I'm not going to censor comments unless
they're incredibly and intentionally hostile). The group is YOU. Make
it what you want it to be. I was hoping that our neighbors would post
all sorts of information about their concerns about quality of life,
etc., and I've honestly been surprised that more people haven't been
using it that way.
