HEALTH DEPARTMENT DETAILS ACTIONS IN RESPONSE TO ITS INVESTIGATION OF GREENWICH VILLAGE KFC/TACO BELL RODENT INFESTATION

The Health Department today completed its review of the inspection and closure of a rat-infested restaurant in Greenwich Village last month. The restaurant, a KFC/Taco Bell on 6th Avenue, passed a Health Department inspection on February 22 but was closed a day later, after live rats were seen in the restaurant and the Department conducted a fuller inspection. A summary of planned actions in response to findings appears below. The full report of the Department's findings and plans is available at http://www.nyc.gov/html/doh/downloads/pdf/public/dohmhnews-tacobellkfc-report.pdf.
