Student Wanted as Live in Nanny (Belmont/Vandy Area) in Exchange for Room and Board (utilities/internet/and some meals provided)

 

Room, Board, Utilities, Internet, Some Meals = $850 per month .-/- $15 an hour= 56.6 hours of work a month in a 2 week period while the children are with me. Additional money may be made with the boys father for helping him the two weeks they are at his home.

 

I am offering a fully furnished bedroom with private bath located on the first floor of our beautiful home across the street from Belmont University to a Belmont or Vanderbilt Student for the 2017/2018 academic year in exchange for being a mother’s helper. I only have my children every other week so some work may need to be done at their father’s home in 12th S – 2 miles away.

 

Approximate Work Day: On average 1 hour in the morning, 30 min-1 hour tidying/cleaning the house, 2-3 hours in the afternoon getting the kids from school, starting homework, math/reading tutoring. Watch the boys while I attend an exercise class. Total ~25-30hrs every other week! Additional money can be made by working for the boys father the other two weeks when they are with him. He lives ~2 miles away in 12th S.

 

Commitment Length: Fall Semester with the possibility of extending through Spring semester and/or summer if the situation is favorable for both parties

 

Location: Edgehill – Across the street from Belmont – three blocks to Vanderbilt

 

Days/Hours: Mornings before school 6:30-8, and after school 3:00-6, Overnights may be needed with given notice; flexibility is a must with changing work schedules

 

Primary Duties will include:

1.     Helping the children (2boys, ages 7 and 8) get ready for school in the morning by preparing a healthy breakfast. Sometimes packing lunches. And possibly taking them to school at Eakin which is .8 miles from our home. School starts at 8:00amPicking the children up from school at 3-3:15pm and bringing them back home to begin homework/tutoring/reading/math work, or to an sport or activity.

3.     Start preparing food for dinner

4.     Help with dinner and cleanup (dishes/trash/cleaning)

5.     Get the kids ready/organized for the next day

6.     Children bathed and ready for bed

 

Other duties include:

1.     Housework – Vacuuming the floors, wiping the countertops, keeping the house tidy and organized, front and back porches blown off and free from debris, checking the mail and leaving on the kitchen counter, letting owner know of any issues that may need addressed with the home (lights out, etc..)

 

MUST:

·      Be the perfect fit for our family – like to have lots of fun

·      Be a non-smoker and have no pets of their own but be comfortable with a very large but sweet and protective dog in our home

·      Be an experience and safe driver with your own reliable transportation

·      Must be active, fun, have a can-do-attitude, self starter, happy, energetic

·      Must be mature and reliable, dependable, responsible, honest, trustworthy

·      Must be very experienced with traveling, can get places with ease, know what to do, and enjoy traveling

·      Must be a take charge role model for the kids

·      Assist with homework and act as a homework helper

·      Run Errands when needed (Grocery Store, Pharmacy, Dry Cleaners)

·      Drop offs/Pick Ups from school

·      Have a valid drivers license

·      Have nanny/babysitting experience with references
