Hi,

The following mail was sent by Prof. Sridhar regarding the 2nd review.



Dear students,


Greetings! I hope that your Master’s Thesis is progressing well.


 This is a reminder mail regarding the second review which is scheduled during 2-4, January 2013 at VIT University Vellore. The exact schedule for the presentation will be displayed in the CAM  lab notice board on 2nd Jan 2013.The students are expected to have completed atleast 60 % of the master’s thesis during the second review period.


Important instructions to the students.

*  All the students have to submit a hardcopy of the second  review report in  the GDN 130 on or before 2nd Jan 2013 (10.00 AM)  without fail.

 Students submitting the review report late and without  the signature of their internal guide will not  be allowed for the presentation.

*       Also  student will not be allowed to give his/her  second review presentation  in the  absence of their  internal guides

 Third review will be held during the first week of April 2013. (During the third review, the students should have completed their masters thesis so that they may have one month period to write the thesis and submit the same during the last week of April 2013.)

*  The final viva voce will be held in the first week of May 2013.

*   Please keep in mind that the students will not be allowed to appear for the final viva voce examination if the masters thesis has not been published in any international conferences/ or acceptance for publication in an International Journals.

The following points should be included in the second review report and in the presentation

*   Objective 
*   Brief literature survey related to the project.
*   The motivation of the project and the problem statement.
*   The method of approach in detail and the method of validation of the results. (Experimental setup/ mathematical modeling/ design procedure/ fabrication  details, calibration etc.. which ever is applicable )                                                                                                     

  *  Expected major contributions to the research society through the project or expected outcome of the project.                                                                                                                                             

  *   Progress of the master’s thesis (GANNT Chart)
