First Project Review for M.Tech Manufacturing Engineering Students on 3rd and 4th of October 2012

Dear students,
Greetings ! I hope and wish your project work is progressing well.
I will be happy to meet you all during the first review, which is scheduled on 3rd and 4th of October 2012. You are informed to furnish the details of your project work in the excel sheet attached with this mail and send the same to the following mail ID spar...@vit.ac.in . The exact time schedule of your presentation will be intimated to you subsequently .
Each student will be given 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minute for discussions.
Important points to be followed :
All the students are required to strictly follow the review report guidelines while submitting the project work as a thesis or review report. Unless the reports are made as per the format the students will not be allowed to appear for the review.
It is suggested to submit the draft copy of the review report and presentation to the internal guide(s) atleast one week before the date of the review, It is also advised that the students doing project work in industries and other research organization should meet and discuss the progress of the project with their internal guide also.
It is hereby informed that the student should submit a hardcopy (2 copies) of the report with guide signature to the program manager office on or before 28th September 2012. The panel members will go through the report and provide their suggestions during the review. If the report is not submitted before the deadline, the students will not be allowed to appear for the review under any circumstances.
The following points should be included in the first review report and in the presentation:
- The motivation of the project and the problem statement.
- Detailed literature survey related to the project. (with a minimum of 25 Journal papers)
- Proposed methodology.
- GANTT Chart
- Expected outcome of the project.
