why this group ?

For three years now, we've been in touch with people from all over the
world : expatriates living in China, travellers in all South East Asia,
Russian surfers in love with Bali, NGO-workers in Indonesia, women-only
surf club in Japan, etc.
So far, we at Cathay Seas are the only ones aware of this community.
There are common interests, common questions and sometimes there is a
matter of emergency which requires the intervention of citizens of
Earth, away from "official" networks (2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean
and 2005 earthquake in Indonesia).
All these elements make us believe that we are a group, and this is a
meeting room for us all.
We, YOU, are the ones who have the knowledge : let it flow !
