Dear all,

Please find attached the last update about Mentawai emergency actions.
500 deaths is the average estimation by now. Focus should be put on
treating wounds + prividing drinking water, food and shelter. Next will be
about reconstruction equipment.

Surf Aid is the official on-site coordinator.
Meanwhile, the Island Aid is gearing up the NAGA LAUT ship to reach the
Mentawai West coast (arrival and exact anchoring point ?).
Another ship possibly coming up to resupply + fast crafts to enforce the
cargo deliveries.

I am afraid i won't be able to send and keep updates as frequently as
during the last crisis : expect to find the updates online
(www.CathaySeas.com > Rescue).
Check the date of publishing close to the Field Reports link.

Feel free to send your information, i'll sort it out and re-send to all.
...and please remember !!! the long-term quake forecast for the region is
of magnitude 8.8 between now and 2039. !!!

Once again... Indo has had its tsunami-ing quake.
I know you are already overwhelmed by drama-thirsty media but, well, this
is not about publishing : this is about helping.
Should you need some kind of help / coordination work or anything else,
just reply back to this message.

By now we all know what Emergency Management means, so don't hesitate.
We know the amount of good work we can achieve together.
