Dear students ,

please follow this interview tips

The basic thing is to be well informed in C. I take it that you are a B.Tech student. Learn C very well, including pointers. You can use Yashwant Kanetkar's Let Us C. It's a good textbook along with Schaum's Series C (Gottfried). Write a lot of programs. most tech interviews include questions to write C programs.. 

Next thing.. be confident. It's your confidence they are going to evaluate. Be smart, and say whatever English you know. DONT HESITATE. But say No to whatevr u dont know. You aren't expected to know everything. Also improve ur English.
Learn proper interview etiquette. Ask seniors, search the net. 

Also learn your other subjects although they aren't related to computer. If you are an electrical engineer they might ask control systems or power electronics or even machines. Be prepared.

Browse the website of the company whose interview u r going to appear and learn pretty well about them. this shows u r serious abt the job to the interviewer.. if u gaffe when they ask u who's narayanamoorthy, u'll lose the Infy job.

To clear the tests, find out the question paper pattern of each company from the net (www.freshershome.com etc) Often even questions are repeated. Some good books are R S Aggarwal ( aptitude, reasoning) , Barron's GRE (English vocab)

Only few companies have GD's . anyway have a good understanding of the current issues. they asked me my opinion about the kerala assembly elections in my TCS interview prettty deeply. 

prepare the answers to list of common questions. some of these are

---------introduce urself
---------why shud v choose u?
---------y did u appear for our job/company? (say the strenghts they boast in their website)
--------strengths and weaknesses?
----------were do u see urself in 5 yrs?(PROJECT MANAGER is a good answer)
--------will u relocate to our remote location in Africa (SAY YES)
---------if I tell u , u r nt intellignt will u agree (say NO politely and explain why you thing u r intellignt)

---etc.

Whenever you go to the interview, try to smile .. dont reveal that u r tense. dont put ur elbows on table.. dont play with ur pen. dont try to be arrogant.. u'll get through.
