Friends,
Hope you're well! I wanted to reach out to you about a case involving my sister, Ireri Unzueta Carrasco, and ask for your support. Last year she was denied her DACA renewal by USCIS because according to them, she is a "safety concern" due to her participation in civil disobediences for immigrant rights.
They literally said, "she was charged with civil disobedience, resisting arrest, obstruction of traffic, and reckless conduct ... Ms. Unzueta's case based public safety concerns and it was determined deferred action wasn't appropriate in this case."
Would your organization be able to sign on to a letter supporting her case, and expressing disagreement with her DACA renewal denial? The letter is attached, and the deadline is this Monday.
Please feel free to e-mail me back or give me a call if you have any questions at
773-387-3186.
Thank you,
Tania
P.S. If there are other organizations that you think I should get in touch with, particularly within your network, please let me know so we can reach out to them.
