We were told in class that we did not need to know this equation. I found a question in the homework that has it, and Proffessor Tate said he'd remove it. It is question #1 in chapter 17.

Also in part c of question 3 in chapter 17 homework. It's not hard to figure out, but do we need practice with this equation?

It is also there in the last few questions.
