Ancestry.com has the One World Tree project which tries to bring
together all of the family trees of the world into one family tree.
However there are many duplications and errors. Why not have a Human
Genome Project like project that uses DNA results to get an almost
100% accurate family tree of everybody named in history or public
New tools might have to be invented such as crawlers/spiders.
Ancestry.com has a spider discussed here: http://www.ancestry.com/learn/bot.aspx
There is a free Perl Spider for the Mormon FamilySearch database:
. It works pretty well.
