Online students:
Please don’t be discouraged. All students taking online courses have
had a difficult time this semester. The college has been much better
organized with information for online courses in the past couple
semesters. I first sent/posted a couple tough-sounding messages before
I realized what had happened, then a couple messages offer a bit of
accommodation. Don’t give up, however things may appear at this point.
If possible, try to join the classroom section for any part of class,
any Saturday from 9:00—12:00 for research on the essays, answers to
questions, or discussion of the texts. Also, if anyone missed any part
of essay 1, e1.1 (Hanson v Murphy), e1.2 (Dreher v Murphy), or e1.3
(Weigel v Murphy), go ahead and follow the instructions on the
syllabus and catch up to the schedule on the syllabus ASAP.
Those who submitted the e1.b, please give me another week with those
because of this situation. I’ll return notes on those with the notes
on your essay 2 drafts.
Thanks to all for your patience. We had a great class last summer, and
we’re having a fine class now in the classroom section. I’m sorry it’s
been so difficult for you online students this term.
