Having trouble with the Launcher

I may simply not understand what the LAU is supposed to do, but here is what it is doing for me:

I can drag an FX affected video into one of the boxes on a launcher page, and it seems to create a snapshot of that FX/Player combo? But then I don’t know how to get that snapshot to load in the A/B mixer. I can’t drag the snapshot anywhere. I can hold down on a snapshot, and the little dot beside it turns red, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten. I don’t know how to do anything else with the LAU. Any help?

This app seems to be very promising and looks like the most robust vj app on ipad! It’s layout is definitely a little different from what I’m used to so it’s probably just that I’m missing something fundamental about how the app works.

Launcher cells can accept drag and drop from the copyboard below the launcher.

You can also drag from the small previews in the A&B decks or the layer previews, and in the iPad layout you can save channels to cells by dragging and dropping directly.

In the iPhone layout, the launcher is not displayed at the same time, so you can temporarily save channels to the launcher's copyboard by pressing the copyboard button at the top of the channel or channel layer. Then drag it to a cell.

Right. I can get things into the Launcher, but I don't know how to activate them once they are in there.

If you tap on decks A and B a few times, the library and deck controllers will be displayed.
There is a button called "+Player." Pressing this will add a new channel. Tapping the preview will make it selectable for loading, and you can load it by tapping from the launcher. However, if only effects are saved, the previous video source will not be saved, so the screen may be black.

Try saving directly from deck A or B.

Both A and B are channels, and each channel has one player and multiple post-effect channels.

Each post-effect channel is also a single channel and has the same structure.

There are two types of players that can be played: effects that require input, and standalone players that contain video files, cameras, generators, etc.

Thanks for the detailed response but I'm still not understanding something about the launcher and cannot get anything to play from it. 

Would it be possible to post a video demonstrating how it works on iPad?
