May THIRD election

- The election is actually on May 3rd.
- The Primary was concurrent with the April 5th election in relevant districts.
- The election is for
- Assembly District 60 (Grafton, Cedarburg, Port Washington, Saukville. Edge of suburb Milwaukee)
- Assembly District 83 (Waterford, Big Bend, East Troy, Mukwonago. Edge of suburban Milwaukee)
- Assembly District 94 (pretty gerrymandered, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, La Crosse burbs)
- The special election was necessary because Walker appointed the 3 legislators to his cabinet, ie these are republican seats that dems want to pick up.
- All previous registration/voting information applies. ie, Absentee Ballot requests must be received by 5pm April 26th, Voting absentee in person deadline May 2nd 5pm, etc.
- Doing a survey of communities holding elections was disappointing, some didn't even list the election, saying the date was TBD...

Any idea for when the special election for Parisi's seat will take place? I would guess that doesn't get scheduled until after GAB confirms election results, but that would also then include a primary and general in the 48th.

Parisi has to resign first. He's expected to do that soon, but he might
wait until he's sworn in on the 19th. (Technically, he's allowed to do
both jobs, and there was some talk of him staying on through the state
budget process, but that apparently has died down)
Walker then has some time to call a special election. He took a month
to do so last time (the resignations were official on Jan 3rd, Walker
announced the dates on Feb 4th)
The election has to be 66-72 (or something like that) days later. There
will be a primary, so the general will be 4 weeks after that.
The timeline people are working under assumes a primary in July.
I think given a choice, the GAB would prefer the 48th AD race happens
on the same day as any recall elections that they certify as being
necessary. The GAB is allowed to stretch its timeline in that process,
and has said it wants to do so so it can have all the recall elections
on the same day. I imagine, but don't know for sure, they'd want this
special on the same day and only have one election in the summer, though
I don't know that they have the flexibility to do so in the 48th.
