Here's where we're at:
==================
* Twilio gave us $250 credit. That should get us through the first
500 or so people to use the system.
* We've chosen a domain. Not setup yet: http://www.votesimple.org/
* Lucas created a logo and the beginning to the site design
* Steve is working on the web site including sign up/login and filling
out the voter info form.
* Matt Clark and I banged out features for the app this weekend.
* The SMS state machine has most paths covered, I think. :)
What we need to do next
===================
* Test the different paths and determine what breaks the system/stops a user
* Update the phone interface so when someone calls the number we
introduce what this is and have them leave message which we record and
associate with this phone #
* Determine what the endpoint messages should be. Right now it just
tells polling place. We'll need to provide multiple messages of info.
* Figure out the best way to convey system wide messages such as
reset, help, back, etc This could be one of the first messages.
* Setup paypal so we can be ready to collect donations. I think each
new voter will be ~25 text messages, so 50 cents per voter.
* Acquire or create dataset of county and municipal clerks and
associate voter with county. Determine which clerk voter should
contact. (Waiting on GAB for data)
* Connect with some non-profits such as youngvoters.org and league of
women voters to tweak our approach and determine how to market
Probably a few other items as well. We're making good progress, but
we really need more help the next few days to get this out first part
of this week.
Thanks!
