Feedback on project proposals

I was just wondering whether we'd get feedback on our project proposals. Should we assume that if we haven't been contacted, the project sounds at least OK? Sorry to bug you guys, but for our proposed project, there's a fairly computationally intensive pre-processing step. I'd like to do it sooner rather than later so we can get working in earnest, but if the project isn't ok, the step will use up a lot of resources on a group cluster needlessly.
