Role: Sr. Network Architect Only
Location: Local to Plano, Texas – Hybrid (2 days/week onsite; subject to additional onsite requirements based on business needs)

Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Architect with over 10 years of experience to join our dynamic System Solution team and provide strategic architectural leadership across a large, complex enterprise network environment.
This role sits at the intersection of technology strategy and engineering execution, driving assessments, defining standards, shaping modernization roadmaps, and guiding critical network decisions across a broad and diverse technology landscape.
The ideal candidate brings deep architectural judgment, cross-domain networking expertise, and the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels while engaging executive stakeholders, leading vendor evaluations, and guiding engineering teams through transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering and/or network architecture experience.
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple networking domains, including:
- LAN
- WAN
- Wireless
- Network Security
- Cloud-adjacent Services
- Strong architectural judgment with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and resilient network designs.
- Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to RFP processes.
- Experience presenting technology recommendations to senior management and executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating with and managing relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
Technology Environment
Experience with the following technologies is preferred. Equivalent expertise with comparable enterprise platforms will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience architecting networks in large-scale, distributed enterprise manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with AI, automation frameworks, and network analytics platforms, including:
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Cisco ThousandEyes
- Equivalent enterprise platforms
- Hands-on involvement in enterprise network transformation programs.
- Experience leading large-scale migration initiatives.
- Active industry certifications such as:
- CCIE
- CCNP
- PCNSE
- Equivalent advanced networking certifications
Work Schedule & Expectations
Work Model
- Hybrid Work Model
- 2 days per week onsite in Plano, TX
- Additional onsite presence may be required based on business needs and client discretion

Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership
- Define and maintain network architecture principles, design patterns, configuration standards, and implementation guidance across the enterprise.
- Establish architectural frameworks that support scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Technology Assessment & Roadmap
- Evaluate current-state network technologies and architectures.
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive modernization initiatives and future-state technology roadmap decisions.
RFP & Vendor Engagement
- Lead RFP development and evaluation processes.
- Critically assess supplier proposals.
- Present well-supported recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal engineering, operations, and business teams.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and technology vendors to develop and execute network solutions.
Complex Problem Resolution
- Provide architectural-level support for escalated operational issues.
- Lead structured root cause analysis and develop long-term remediation strategies.
Innovation & Automation
- Champion automation, AI-enabled tooling, and network analytics.
- Improve operational efficiency, reliability, and implementation quality.
Standards & Governance
- Establish and enforce architectural guardrails, design standards, and governance frameworks across a distributed multi-technology environment.
