Rate -$65/Hr-$70/Hr on C2C.
Job Description:
The Data Conversion Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end data migration and conversion activities for the Oracle Fusion ERP transformation program, involving legacy platforms including Viewpoint Vista, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and JD Edwards.
This role will define the data migration strategy, lead data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation, and ensure high-quality, timely data readiness aligned with program milestones (CRP, SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live).
The position requires close collaboration with functional, technical, integration, and business teams to ensure data integrity and successful transition to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Migration Strategy & Governance
- Define overall data migration strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for multi-ERP consolidation to Oracle Fusion.
- Establish data governance model, standards, templates, and controls across Finance, SCM, Projects, and HCM domains.
- Define migration waves, cutover strategy, and rollback approaches.
2. Data Discovery, Mapping & Design
- Analyze legacy data structures from:
- Viewpoint Vista
- Oracle EBS
- JD Edwards
- Lead data mapping workshops with functional SMEs to map legacy data to Oracle Fusion data models.
- Identify data gaps, harmonization needs, and transformation logic.
- Prepare and maintain:
- Data Mapping Documents (DMD)
- Data Conversion Design Documents (DCD)
3. Data Extraction, Transformation & Load
- Define extraction mechanisms from legacy systems (DB extracts, APIs, flat files).
- Design and implement transformation logic for cleansing, enrichment, and harmonization.
- Drive data loading using Oracle Fusion tools:
- FBDI (File-Based Data Import)
- HDL (HCM Data Loader)
- ADFDI APIs
- Oversee development of automated ETL pipelines (ODI/OIC where applicable).
4. Data Quality, Validation & Reconciliation
- Establish data quality frameworks, rules, and thresholds.
- Ensure validation of:
- Master data (Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Assets)
- Transactional data (GL balances, AP/AR, Projects, etc.)
- Lead reconciliation cycles across:
- Legacy vs staged data
- Staged vs Fusion target
- Ensure financial and operational data accuracy pre and post migration.
5. Testing & Cutover Support
- Support data migration for:
- Conference Room Pilot (CRP)
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Plan and execute mock cutovers and dress rehearsals.
- Drive final production data migration and ensure Go-Live readiness.
- Provide hyper care support for post-go-live data issues.
6. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Functional consultants (Finance, SCM, HCM, Projects)
- Technical teams (OIC, integration, reporting, DBAs)
- Business stakeholders
- Conduct data workshops, status reviews, and steering updates.
- Highlight risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to leadership.
7. Tools, Automation & Performance Optimization
- Define tooling landscape for migration and data validation.
- Drive automation of reconciliation and validation.
