Job Title: Product Owner – FINEOS

Location: Philadelphia, PA / Remote
Job Type: C2C / Contract

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong expertise in Business Analysis and Product Management, along with hands-on experience in the FINEOS platform.

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Agile teams, and leadership to define product vision, manage product backlogs, drive Agile delivery, and support end-to-end product lifecycle management. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, communication, and Agile execution capabilities within enterprise environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Backlog Management

  • Prioritize, refine, and manage the product backlog to align with business objectives and roadmap priorities.
  • Define and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, epics, and feature documentation.
  • Ensure product artifacts meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Agile teams to support sprint planning and delivery execution.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Conduct interviews and workshops with users, stakeholders, and business leaders to gather requirements and understand business priorities.
  • Analyze business processes, capabilities, limitations, and opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional product features and actionable deliverables.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between business, product, development, QA, and leadership teams.

Agile Delivery & Product Lifecycle Management

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Stand-ups
    • Backlog Grooming
    • Sprint Reviews
    • Retrospectives
  • Lead product demos and cross-team feature demonstrations within Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution for product releases.
  • Track release progress, defect resolution, and product delivery milestones.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
  • Work with Product Managers and peer Product Owners to align cross-ART initiatives and enterprise product strategies.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and process gaps, and proactively drive resolutions.
  • Continuously improve product delivery processes and stakeholder engagement.

Leadership & Communication

  • Mentor teams and facilitate collaboration across distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage client and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Provide constructive feedback while remaining open to input from business and technical teams.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with the FINEOS platform is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SAFe/ART environments.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and sprint planning activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating UAT activities and release management processes.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and enterprise product initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance, claims, or benefits administration domains.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in large enterprise Agile transformation programs.
  • Exposure to digital product delivery and customer experience initiatives.
