Red Devils,

I was just speaking to Red Devil - Super Mario regarding the Red Devil Logbook.  I took it down because I could not keep up with it any longer so it went for long periods without udpating.  I would like to start off the New Year with a new and improved Red Devil Logbook so that we can all post on to it.  I know that several of have cool stories and annecdotes or just thoughts to post on there. In order to do that you will need to sign up for a Blogger account ( http://www.blogger.com), once you have done that I will add you as a contributor (member) to http://red-devil-logbook.blogspot.com  and you will be able to post on there as you wish. I will be working on the look of it this weekend to try to make it the same way as before, and if you have any ideas, feel free to bring them up. Below is the list of people in the group right now, so if you know if anyone to add or change (due to email address incorrect or something) then let me know.

Good idea Ariel. Has the criteria to become a member changed? I was thinking Dana Deegan might want to blog some thoughts or updates every once in awhile, perhaps she can become an honorary member? I am not sure if you guys got the update on the trial but the murder suspect that shot Deegan was sentenced to 18 years in prison for manslaughter and discharging a weapon. I hope everyone is well. Any news on Special Forces candidate Miranda? Hopefully Special Forces SFC Miranda 18B V X W8 B4 C1 and C2 qualified by now...

Happy Holidays,

Val

Hey Guys,

Happy New Years to everyone. It is sad that Deegan is gone; however, I think that our past in red devil land is unique and no one outside of it will ever understand. Therefore, I do not concur to have anyone outside of the circle to join (that is not a red devil). I do not want to sound hard or unsimpathetic but how can you wear the t-shirt without been there. Where do we draw the line? We can invite family members to certain meetings if we ever do them.

Frank I agree no one outside Red Devil land will ever understand running up and down Ardennes or ruck marching McKellars Rd to earn the coveted expert infantry badge. However, i believe we should at least allow a select few of people have the privilege and access to communicate on the blog once they have met a certain criteria.  I would assume the same set of rules would go for family members since they have never earned the t-shirt. I guess if we want to go this route we would have to establish a membership criteria. Red Devils just a suggestion... Ariel I thought the blog looked pretty good as it was. I am sure a few image enhancements wouldn't be a bad idea. I'll see what i can come up with. Super Mario I forget to thank you as well for taking part in resurrecting the Red Devil Logbook.
