Smith Scale Speedway 8/15 Race Results

It was a huge night of racing at SSS. Not only were there full fields
in the three current divisions, but we had to run semis to qualify
modifieds for a feature. Two short 5 car qualifying races were run.
the top three in each race advanced to the feature. We drew named
from a bucket to choose who entered which semi. Three former series
champions ended up in one race together and finished within two laps
of each other. In the other semi, which included a driver with a few
heat wins and one multiple modified race winner, we had a first time
winner (in this division). The top three in that race were also within
two laps of each other. It was very competitive racing all day with 4
different winners in the 5 races. We also had another first time
driver who bravely entered the fray with borrowed equipment and zero
race experience. We look forward to racing him again with some decent
equipment under him.
