Cumann na bhFear was established as an environment where men of all ages can help each other develop, learn and/or teach skills and crafts that can benefit themselves and the wider community. There is a focus on both heritage preservation and the provision of practical skills to make or repair everyday items. Hence the volunteer members provide courses and workshops such as wood-turning, basket making, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, general metalworking, drystone walling and nature studies as well as orienteering, soldering, electronics, web-design, panel beating, cycle maintenance and domestic home repairs.
