Hi there,

Richard and Myself are students working on a couple of personal, practical projects in NUIG.  We are now at the stage of looking into web development.  We have 2 projects both of which we hope to develop into (separate) interactive maps, some of the details of these are bellow.  Both projects are learning/practical tools which aim to encourage students, staff and visitors to the university campus to be environmentally conscious of their surroundings and their behaviour.  We are contacting a number of different developers and were hoping that you would forward this to any of your members whom might be interested in working with us.

1. GUSTO (Galway University Sustainable Transport Options); will offer an interactive map and information on the walking, cycling and bus routes for the university and wider city.  A draft of the hard copy is attached.

2. Walking with trees; again we hope for this to be an interactive map which will display a number of walking tours of the campus environs and information on the trees and some other points of interest along the routes.

We are open to suggestions as to how best to present the map, such as a downloadable pdf, interactive app, both or otherwise; but would be interested in the possibilities of developing the projects in an open source platform.  For those interested please email Richard and myself portfolio/links of past work and any questions that you might have; we will be in contact in the near future and will meet with some of those interested before choosing a partner for the projects.

Thank you,
Paul O' Donnell

I really wish people would state if they're paying for this kind or work but more importantly if they're getting paid by the third party for the work.
