The AI study group is starting up soon. The weeknight group is likely to be either Mondays 9-11 PM or Fridays 5-7 PM.

Please make your preferences known on the poll, by tomorrow (Tuesday):

Let's start talking about times for the AI study groups. There's a lot on.

We've had the suggestion of doing two study groups--one on a weeknight, the other on a weekend.

For the weeknight, here are the times I propose:

Mondays 9-11 PM
Tuesdays 8-10 PM
Fridays 5-7 PM (maybe at DERI, if we could get permission)

Here's a doodle poll:
(Think generally of those nights of the week...)

Who wants to coordinate weekend scheduling? (maybe Saturdays at 091labs -- Vinod, Antóin & others-can you suggest some times?).

I know at least three people in my company besides me signed up for that course

It could be a way to get new members into the labs, if we formed study groups.  If we have too many we can split people in different study groups on different nights

We could charge for the study group for non members

AI study group will meet Mondays 9-11 PM for the duration of the course (10 Oct-18th Dec)

Monday 3 October, we'll have a shorter meeting, 10-11 PM, for introductions. We'll talk about why we're taking the class, what our backgrounds are, and share tips on study materials we've found so far.
(This follows the Ph.D. comic movie at NUI--highly recommended:

Even though I am not an official 091 member, I will be following this class online also.  Looks like a great course.
