Mediagoblin

Any objection to me setting up an 091 Labs Mediagoblin instance on our
cloud? Members only that is.

I was trying to set up an Ignite Galway account on Youtube using our
info@091labs and the amount of nonsense I was been told to go through
annoyed the hell out of me. Only one channel per user =/ It then locked
me out of an ignite...@091labs.com that I set up to get it sorted due
to my putting in an honest date. Tried Vimeo too and it only allows a
small amount of upload per week.

So yeah, our own instance looks pretty shiny to me right now...

Are you talking about the HP cloud? Otherwise, scruffy might just explode, quite dramatically.

I didn't realise how limited YT and Vimeo were in this regard. I like the idea of hosting everything we can ourselves anyway and avoiding the T&C of using someone elses site.

For video, you really need to be thinking in terms of paid plans.

I have always wanted to tinker with Wordpress.com in that regard, as they have a paid video plan.

The HP cloud account *is* very much a paid plan, and this is /exactly/ the sort of experiment that the account exists for.

I will do a presentation on how to use it when time allows, until then drop me an email to get yourself a password and feel free to play.

Plus one for mediagoblin! :) I set up one a few weeks ago on Openshift
to play around with. My phone was away for repair for most of the time
since then, so there's a total of one (extraordinarily random) picture
on it.
