City Mayor, Paul Dennett, said: "Following the receipt of the letter of concern from 47 Rabbis across the country regarding the proposed Parish Council in Kersal & Broughton Park, I want to make it clear that I share their concerns regarding community cohesion and safety - particularly in light of the horrific attack on the synagogue in Heaton Park on October 2nd. As a Labour City Mayor I also share the views of Salford Labour group, which has always opposed the proposed Parish Council in Kersal & Broughton Park".
